how do you change your scope or reticle on a sniper rifle in world war ii call of duty

it has a 56mm outer opening and 32mm eyepiece opening with about 26mm tubeġ. I seem to recall that it was the Leupold Mk IVĦ. The scope has a starlight reticle with thick outer posts that get illuminated if 'charged' by shining a light into the scope.ĥ. height and windage towers that have 1/4 clicks.Ĥ. USMC mil dot reticle (oval dots) with 4 dots on each 'leg' ending in a thick post that from memory marks the 5th mil exactlyģ. it is a 4.5-14x with external knob for focusing on the left side of the scope (marked with a curve to infinity symbol at the end and about half the size of the windage and elevation towers)Ģ. From memory and what I can see on the scope:ġ. However, I've never had to do it on any quality optics.I have an old Leupold scope that was bought in the 1990s and manual and box since long lost due to moving continents a few times. So I've learned on some crappy scopes you do have to do that. I just tapped it when I was sighting it in, and it seems to work okay as long as you tap it. In the mean time I stuck the cheapo Bushnell 3-9x40 on there. I ended up buying a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 Tactical for it, but after using it for a bit I decided it was too much power.

Honestly, this scope was a cheap pos, and I agree that it should have been replaced. I could tap it and it would take adjustments. I then tried the tapping on it trick, and found out it worked too. It seemed like it would take about 3 shots after making adjustments for it to settle in. Then the next was a little further right, then the next was right where I'd adjusted it to. I tried to dial it in and the first shot after making adjustments was only about an inch from where the first shot. I went to sight it in and it was shooting about 4' left.

The adjustments took after just turning the knobs. Occasionally I'd try to see if it made a difference and it didn't. It's no way I ever thought I'd beat on my scopes. Well, I for years I saw guys tap on scopes after sighting them in and I thought they were crazy.
